Parks and Green Spaces Levy Opportunity Fund (Seattle Parks Website)

The Community Council has proposed that the parcels at 101 NW 85th Street be considered for Parks Acquisition as a part of the Parks & Green Spaces Levy Opportunity Fund.  This site was discussed during the January 2010 GCC meeting and well received by attendees.  Seattle Parks has encouraged us to submit it as an Opportunity Fund candidate because they didn’t see it as viable for Neighborhood Parks Acquisition Funds (that is the other half of the Parks and Green Spaces Levy funding).

The next step is to submit the actual application which is due April 2, 2010.  Eventually, we would like to apply for a City grant to study and propose a Parks Master Plan for the Greenwood/Phinney Urban Village.
